CARAM John

Passed away peacefully at the Welland General Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Monday, February 18, 2008 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Margaret (nee MacFarlane). Loving father of Betty (Jack) Huard and Doreen Putney. Cherished Grandpa of Cheryl (Mario) Stranges, Jackie (Wayne) Jaroslawski, Darlene (Tom) Bell and Bill (Gaileen) Huard. Adored by his great grandchildren Craig, Corey, Tyler, Mark, Paul, Alyxandria, Elycia, Reise, Colton and Carlee. He will be sadly missed by his brother in law Walter (Georgie) MacFarlane, niece Irene Beyak and nephew Bill Caram. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his father Steve and mother Marcella, sister Stella, and brother Bill. John was employed for many years at the LCBO in Fort Erie. He enjoyed many years in the company of his friends at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 71 and Senior Club 91 in Fort Erie. John volunteered countless hours in operating the book club at the Royal Bank in Fort Erie to raise money for the local food bank. He was loved by all that knew him and his warm sense of humour will be greatly missed.

Benner Funeral Services 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Benner Funeral Chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment to follow in McAffee Cemetery. If so desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
