Landrie : Mr. Lawrence

Landrie, Lawrence of Fort Erie, Ontario-formerly of Sudbury, Ontario-died peacefully at home with his family by his side on February 13, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend Sylvia (“Sivie”) and his cherished daughter Cindy and her husband Tommy Szaro of New Jersey. Loving Papa of his precious Grandchildren Amanda and Cassie. Dear brother of Ed (Sheila) Landrie, Elaine (friend David) Landrie, Patsy (her husband Ron, predeceased) Joly, Donny (his wife Gail, predeceased) Landrie, MaryAnne (Ken) Wolfe and Cathy (Jezmi) Yilmaz. Special Brother-In-Law of Denise LaPrairie and Julie (Kim) Jariett. Lawrence will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Agnes Landrie. His unconditional love, sense of humour and bright smile will never be forgotten. He had a special passion for gardening and after his retirement from Inco-Transportation Division in 1997, he thoroughly enjoyed wintering at his home away from home in Fort Myers, Florida. A special thanks and expression of gratitude to his nurse Elizabeth from ParaMed for the sincere and excellent care given to him.

BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES (1105 Benner Road, Fort Erie) entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Friday February 15, 2008 from 5pm-9pm at the Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial taking place on Saturday February 16, 2008 at 11am from St. Michael’s Church (310 Central Avenue, Fort Erie). Burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society. Cards available at the funeral home.
