Ryan – Marie Anne Lucille

After a courageous battle with cancer, Lucille passed away at home on March 25th, surrounded by the love and presence of her husband of over 40 years Barry. Proud mother of John. She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Claude (Pat) Martin, Gerald (Sharon) Martin, Roger (Solange) Martin, Gaetane Anderson and Lorette (Gus) Wodnicki. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, her mother-in-law Winnifred Ryan, sister-in-law Sandra Ryan, other extended family and many friends.

Lucille will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. She encouraged others to find the best in themselves through hard work and dedication. Throughout her difficult ordeal, she faced her challenges with a positive outlook rarely complaining or feeling sorry for herself. Thanks to Lana, Nancy and especially Pat who we could not have done without, and the other nurses and health care professionals who helped her.

Benner Funeral Services, 1105 Benner Ave., Fort Erie entrusted with arrangements. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 o’clock until the time of service at 2 pm in the Benner Funeral Chapel. Cremation to follow. If so desired, donations to the Douglas Memorial Hospital Building Foundation would be appreciated.
